Finance Head

Job Summary:

The Finance Head will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and management of the company’s operations in the Oil & Gas sector. This role requires strong expertise in financial control, treasury, risk management, and compliance to ensure sustainable growth and profitability. The Finance Head will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
• Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with IFRS.
• Optimize working capital, cash flow, and treasury management to support business growth.
• Lead financial risk assessment, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
• Supervise and develop the finance team to enhance overall performance.
• Oversee tax planning, VAT compliance, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
• Manage financial relationships with banks, investors, and external stakeholders.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives in financial processes for improved efficiency.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA/CPA/CFA preferred).
• 12+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial regulations, and corporate governance.
• Expertise in financial planning, risk management, and cost control.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in treasury management and banking relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a multinational Oil & Gas company.
• Familiarity with UAE tax laws, VAT regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong track record in financial restructuring and strategic planning.
